FOOTBALL fanatics Jonah and Solomon Ayunga have both won places on Dorset County teams for the year ahead.

They live in Beaminster and both play for Bridport – Solomon for the under-14s, managed by Gus Parkman, and Jonah for the under-16s, managed by Terry Warren.

The brothers have grown up playing football with friends at the Memorial Playing Fields in the town.

Solomon, 13, has played for Bridport since 2007. He attended trials over the summer holidays and was successful in gaining a place in the Dorset County Development Centre.

The squad has 15 members and will be playing teams from other counties. Jonah, 15, has also played for Bridport since 2007.

He has won a place on the Dorset County under-16s representative team.

There are 20 players in the squad and they train at Canford Park near Wimborne.

Jonah, along with fellow Beaminster school student Fred Warren, has also been selected to play in the Dorset County Schools Association under-16s side. Other Bridport Youth players also selected for Dorset County teams are Olly Woodcock (under-16) and Callum Douglas (under-15).
