A NEW co-ordinator has been appointed to the Bridport-based Skills for Self Reliance (S4Sr) project.
Sophie Franks takes over as a new website is launched about the project and lists its courses and training opportunities.
Sophie said: “This project was developed for the benefit of the local community. So if you think we’re missing something then please get in touch and we will try and include it.”
S4SR launched in 2011 and links different organisations to provide training in skills areas ranging from renewable energy to food and nutrition. Places are offered on courses at subsidised rates and sometimes free of charge.
An ongoing course is Timber Framed Barn Building, with three sessions in October and November at Monkton Wyld Court. Email Sophie @s4sr.org.uk or visit s4sr.org.uk for more details.
