WEYMOUTH Gig Rowing Club attended a sizzling Bridport regatta at West Bay with their ladies' veterans A team once again in fine form, winning their event in style.
All crews rowed in the blistering heat and gave their all, picking up a further two podium places between them.
The ladies' super veterans finished second, while the juniors claimed third in their heat.
In other results, the ladies' A, B and C teams all came home in fourth and the ladies' veterans B side finished fifth. The mixed A and men’s A finished sixth, while the men's veterans claimed ninth.
There was also a solid performance from the mixed B squad and and men’s B, who both ended up in 12th.
Grateful captain Lynn Reynolds said: "What an amazing and mighty hot day. Thank you Bridport for a fabulous event.”
Weymouth finished fifth overall in the regatta and have slipped to fourth in the Jurassic League with Langstone nipping in just ahead. Weymouth now have their eyes focussed on the next regatta at Sidmouth.
