WEYMOUTH & Portland Cruising Association members have been journeying to Cherbourg and Scotland this week.

Paul and Margaret Roberts, in Stella, are bound for Scotland and will be making their first stop at Dartmouth before heading round Land’s End and up the east coast of Ireland before crossing to Scotland.

John Atkinson, in Eleanor, with two crew, left Weymouth bound for Cherbourg, France.

Chris and Tess Reid, in Monterey, joined them on the continent two days later.

Both boats visited St Vaast before returning to Weymouth.

WPCA president Sara Lloyd and David Lloyd met up with them all in Cherbourg having taken the land route in their camper van.

The group is heading for the Gulf of Morbihan to watch the Festival of the Sea which takes place there every two years.
