A MILITARY museum in Dorset is due to reopen today (Tuesday).

The Royal Signals Museum based at Blandford Camp is reopening today - and will be open to visitors Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.

The museum presents the role of communications in wars and military campaigns over the last 150 years.

Some of the exhibitions include the story of the modern-day, high-tech signaller. Displays illustrate the wide-ranging role of the corps both on the battlefield and beyond.

The displays are planned and created by serving soldiers from the different units and so provide a soldiers perspective of their roles and responsibilities.

A pre-booking system is currently in operation for anyone wishing to visit to ensure social distancing.

All visitors must book a time slot assuming a 2 hour visit and payments will be taken in advance by card.

Booking is currently by telephone only. To book call 01258 482248.
