LORD Knight visited a Weymouth school and was quizzed by pupils.

Lord Knight of Weymouth visited Holy Trinity Primary School and members of the school’s Junior Leadership Team gave Lord Knight a tour of the school, showing him their work and introducing him to staff and pupils.

He met with governors to discuss the school’s funding formula and the current thinking on how best to integrate technology into children’s learning.

Finally, members of the pupils’ school council were introduced to Lord Knight and were given the opportunity to ask him a range of probing questions.

Subjects covered included how MPs work, the hunting ban and the most difficult issue that Lord Knight had ever had to vote upon.

A spokesman for the school said: “The visit was a great success and Lord Knight has offered support to the school on areas of his expertise.”
