THANKS to the enormous success of their first ever festival, a Weymouth school has announced they will be bringing it back for a second year.
The All Saints School in Wyke Regis raised more than £5,000 following their ‘All Saints Music and Arts Festival – bringing the community together’ last year and the organisers of the event, the Friends of All Saints School Association, have announced the second festival will take place on Saturday, September 19.
Orgainser Amanda Dunning said: “Last year we really did bring the community together and raised an amazing £5,700 towards an IT suite and equipment for All Saints School.
“We still need to finalise details but as we have already had a tremendous response from local bands we may need to have two stages to fit everyone in, it looks like the line-up will be huge this year.”
The school has already organised a large array of entertainment by local bands and local trade stalls which will showcase art, crafts, photography and much more.
Amanda said that because they have much more time to plan the event this year, it is guaranteed to be bigger and better. She said: “We would like to hear from businesses who would like to sponsor the event this year, classical performers, or anyone who wishes to have a trade or community stall.
“Without last years generous sponsors and the support of the local community the event would not have taken place.” Businesses and performers can get in touch with FASSA by email fassaoffice @gmail.com, via their Facebook or by calling 01305 783391 page https:// www.facebook. com/AllSaints Festival
