The Grinch himself visited the Prince of Wales School in Dorchester.

Accompanied by Max the dog, the Grinch sparked an extraordinary whole school meeting of students and staff.

As a result, 'the supreme and combined council of the Senior Leadership Team and School Council (Pupil Voice)' issued a ‘Declaration of Intent’ to the Grinch's visit that Christmas is not cancelled!

It was decided that the whole school community will work together to make this year the best #Inspired ToLearnChristmas ever.

It was also decided that Mr Grinch will be converted to Christmas!

Ann Johnson, deputy headteacher at the school, said: "With our joint whole-school mission now clear through our three-point action plan, we look forward to next week when the real magic will begin."

It is understood that Mr Grinch’s visit to The Prince of Wales is the first in a series of inspiring learning experiences planned for the children and staff at The Prince of Wales School on the run up to Christmas!

Headteacher, Mr Gary Spracklen, who was mysteriously missing during the time of Mr Grinch’s visit, said: “Christmas is always a busy time of the year at The Prince of Wales School. This year, we are determined that we won’t let ongoing challenges ruin the opportunity for inspiring learning opportunities.

"We have our biggest ever festive programme planned, starting with an #InspiredToLearn Creative Week followed by a Christmas Jumper Day, Virtual Christmas Disco, Virtual Whole-School Carol Service, Whole-School Hot Christmas Dinner (in partnership with Local Food Links), Virtual Christmas Quiz (Parents Vs Children) and not forgetting a very special *top secret* whole-school Christmas production. We have carefully planned each activity in a COVID-aware way to ensure maximum fun and safety for all. Our #InspiredToLearn Christmas is going to be the best one ever and we can’t wait to get started!”
