A studenT took on his very own challenge inspired by the epic fundraising efforts of Captain Tom.
Leon Richer, a sixth form student at Westfield Arts College in Weymouth bet Mrs Jeffcott, head of the school's sixth form, that if she could score a goal he would dance the Highland Fling. And she did!
Leon has been learning the dance and chose to raise money for local charity Hanger's Heroes. He promised to do it in full traditional costume and put the video on Facebook for everyone to see.
So far Leon has raised more than £75. Anyone who wishes to make a donation can send them into the school office marked 'Hanger's Heroes'.
Headteacher Seán Kretz said: "We think Leon’s done amazingly. So far he’s raised over £75. We’re still asking for donations to be sent in."
