PARISHIONERS of Wyke Regis in Weymouth are inviting people to join them on an open-air theatre trip.

All Saints and St Edmunds’ churches are organising a day trip to watch a live performance of the Life of Christ at the Wintershall Estate in Guildford, Surrey.

The biblical five-hour drama follows more than 100 actors as they move through the grounds of the Surrey estate to re-enact the life events of Jesus Christ.

Julia Moore, a former All Saints Church warden who is organising the trip, said: “It is a multi-sensory experience with has something to offer everyone irrespective of their own beliefs. It is just an amazing experience. If anybody goes they will never forget it.”

She added: “At lunchtime they do the feeding of the five thousand and involve all the audience members as the cast move among everyone with bread. It is just an amazing drama production.

“It is outside so people have to be prepared to cope with whatever the weather gives us and will have to be able to get around the estate.”

The trip will take place on Wednesday, June, 21. Tickets cost £20 for adults, £18 for those over 65 and £9.50 for children, with extra for coach fare.

Those wishing to join the trip should contact Julia on juliamoore1@btinternet.com or on 01305 776138 no later than Sunday, March 26.
