REG Carter of Weymouth wrote to the pages of Looking Back about the searchlight displays in Weymouth Bay that were recently featured.
Reg wrote: "In those days if my memory is correct we had two or three fleets who always used Weymouth Bay, Portland Harbour, as bases and often gave searchlight displays that we used to go to the Nothe to watch.
"I think Maurice Curtis is correct about the dates of it being around 1937 or 1938."
It was lovely to hear that Reg looks forward to reading Looking Back every Tuesday - thanks to Reg for his letter.
