HERE at Looking Back we're avid fans of this year's World Cup and have been cheering on Gareth Southgate's boys with the best of them.

So we were delighted to have a visit from former Chickerell Town footballer Mick Legg with his collector's item jigsaws of England's 1966 World Cup triumph.

Mick, of Chickerell, said: "I bought the jigsaws just after England won the World Cup. I had them up in the loft for 50 years. It was only quite recently that I bought them down and put them together.

"I'd go round to my sister's every week and she helped me do them.

"They looked so good that I decided to get them framed and am planning to hang them on my wall."

Former left winger Mick remembers watching England's victory over West Germany while on holiday in Guernsey and cites his favourite player in that team as Bobby Moore.

He's very much enjoying this year's World Cup in Russia, he said.

"They don't half leave you on tenterhooks though, this England team," Mick added.

The team may have already qualified for the last 16, but good luck to them for their final group game against Belgium on Thursday.
