Here's a picture of contrasts from Chapelhay in Weymouth, taken in January 1957.
You can see the war-damaged numbers 51 and 52 St Leonard's Road, soon to be demolished, and the new Gordon Row shops, then in the course of construction. In the gap on the right the new Chapelhay Heights maisonettes can be glimpsed.
