Here's some memories from Weymouth Grammar School.

In the larger group picture some of you might remember some of these teachers who were pictured in 1963 when the school celebrated its Golden Jubilee and various events were held to mark the occasion.

A group of long serving staff are pictured here. Left to right they are Frank Oakley (physics 1937-70), Ted Honebon (maths 1926-66), Anne Clark (maths 1956) who taught at the school until 1985 when she became deputy headteacher at All Saints, Jack Morgan (geography 1950-1982) and Frank Welford (geography 1924-61) who taught part time for a few more years after retirement.

With the exception of Frank Welford, all these teachers were ex-pupils of the school.

In the second picture of a smaller group of staff, pictured in 1963, we can see the headmaster Stanley Parsons chatting with two staff members who were former pupils, Mrs E. Price-Jones who taught English at the school from 1948 to 1963 and Malcolm Jacobs who joined the staff in 1959 and retired as acting vice-principal of Weymouth College more than 40 years later.

It's thanks to Looking Back regular Geoffrey Pritchard for these wonderful Grammar School memories.
