A SCHOOL reunion has been organised for the class of 1965 and 1966 of Broadwey County Secondary Modern.

Tribute and cabaret artist David Ford, a former pupil of the school, which is now Wey Valley School, is promoting the reunion.

The special anniversary evening, at Weymouth Golf Club on Saturday, May 25, coincides with all the former pupils of those years turning 70 over the next few months.

David said: “We believe we are one of the oldest school groups in the area.

“We had incredible teachers in Mr Burdett, Mr Bridges Mr Collins and headmaster Mr Jevons, who not only taught us but guided us through those tender years inculcating self discipline, pride and ultimate achievements giving us all a great foundation for our future adult years.”

David and his team of Sheena Pearson,Kim May,Iain Challis and Nicola Rafferty have been working to track down old school friends who have moved out of the Weymouth area...

“We hope that many of our school mates or teachers will see this editorial and get in touch” said Nicola.

“We can all be found on Facebook on B.C.S.M 65/66."

The evening;s proceedings will incorporate a tombola in aid of local charity Veterans Hub Weymouth.

Anyone wishing to donate prizes or tickets for the evening should contact David on 07714 513372.
