AN AUTHOR is looking for the relatives of a flight engineer who took on dangerous Second World War missions.
David Price is writing a book about an Avro Lancaster crew of the Second World War.
Crew member Ken Randle was a flight engineer with 9 and 97 squadrons serving as Pathfinder. Ken flew 45 missions, many to Berlin, one of the most hazardous targets of the war. Ken married in late 1943/early 1944 and in later life is believed to have lived in south Dorset, passing away in 1997.
David said: "It would be great to contact relatives and put them in contact with other crew families. The sole survivor of the crew, Wing Commander Ken Cook now lives in Hexham, Northumbria and is approaching 96 years of age.
Anyone with information can contact David on 07827 999 074 or email david@davidprice.org
