AFTER an article about a reunion of former Broadwey Secondary Modern pupils, it was a pleasure to hear from reader Betty Hennessey.
The pupils, the class of '65 and '66, got together at Weymouth Golf Club to reminisce. They are all now in their 70th year.
Broadwey Secondary Modern School, in Weymouth, is now known as Wey Valley School.
Betty, of Preston, Weymouth, got in touch because she used to work in the kitchen at the school 'all those years ago'.
She remembers: "I did the vegetables and set tables. Mr Jevons was the headmaster then, it was a much smaller school. Those are very happy memories for me. I am now 90-years-old and proud that my five sons attended the school."
Thanks to Betty for getting in touch with her memories.
