WE'VE enjoyed a large number of Harry Green photos over the past few weeks.
This image, of a derelict GPO telephone kiosk at Tyneham, was taken by Harry in the 50s, 60s and 70s.
Tyneham, as we all known, is Dorset's lost village that was abandoned during the Second World War after it was requisitioned by the Army and has been stuck in a time warp since. Tyneham was used as a temporary firing range and training ground for troops. The village was not returned to the residents and in 1948 a compulsory purchase order was placed on the land.
