Thanks to regular correspondent Esmee Nicholls for getting in touch and sending us these photos.

She saw the image of trestle tables out on Weymouth Esplanade and numerous diners enjoying a tea party in a recent edition of Looking Back.

We were asking readers to get in touch and let us know what the gathering was in aid of.

Esmee, of Littlemoor, Weymouth, phoned in to tell us that she thinks it was a VE Day commemoration celebration in 1994 and also a Guinness Book of World Records attempt for the most people at a street party.

Esmee remembers: "Tables were set out for different organisations. We took our granddaughter Heidi-Marie, who is now 24. There was also a tank there.

"Sadly, we didn't make the record," Esme said.

Thanks to Esmee for these photos featuring her husband, daughter, and granddaughter at the party. Do get in touch with your street party photos and memories.
