TWO weeks ago in the Dorset Echo we paid tribute to comedy legend Tim Brooke-Taylor, a third of The Goodies who died after contracting coronavirus.
We shared details of the more than £36k Tim helped raise for medical research by hosting a golf tournament in his name at Came Down Golf Club.
We also shared memories of Tim filming The Goodies at Parnham House near Beaminster. Some readers also remembered the trio filming at a quarry on Portland - an episode where giant geese rained eggs onto them. After filming, reader Barry Thompson remembers them popping into the Eight Kings, Southwell for a pint.
Another reader remembers as a teenager going watching them filming The Goodies in Dorchester's Borough Gardens.
This was apparently where Tim Brooke-Taylor was in a sketch walking along Frederick Place, and in a sketch being thrown out of Nino's disco in (the old) school lane. (Mulberry Terrace). The Goodies stars stayed at Dorchester Road, Upwey, Weymouth and are remembered as a 'very friendly' trio.
