This picture ties in so well with the series of articles we've been featuring on Dorchester High Street recently.
It's a Harry Green image of Cornhill, Dorchester, showing the Town Pump and the point where South Street meets High Street.
As you can see, back then South Street wasn't pedestrianised and a double decker bus is mking its way down the street.
Wilkins the bakers was on the left as you would enter South Street.
The street was later pedestrianised. Thanks to Carole Dorran for sharing the article.
