It's a massive 'Cheers' to Linda Skelton who has sent in this interesting pictures after viewing our nostalgic pub picture spreads in Mondays and Thursdays' Echos.
This image is of the Marquis of Granby, Chickerell Road, Weymouth and is believed to have been taken in the 1950s.
Linda said: "My grandparents (Constance and Walter) and their children (including my mother Connie), the Palmers, ran it for some years before the Second World War and left in the 1960s. It was shortly pulled down in place of the new Marquis of Granby. I lived there as a child and had many happy memories.
"One story my mother always told was of one regular drinker at the pub would always turn up with his horse and cart and at the end of the evening he had to be put on the back of the cart (unfortunately worse for wear) and the horse took him home!"
