1957 in Weymouth
Look out for the big wheel at Chipperfields Fun Fair on Westham bridge.
Down the bottom of the picture you can see the damage done to the Chapelhay area of Weymouth, which was bombed in the Second World War.
Take a look at the beach - there are a lot of beachgoers so it must have been a nice day.
Another point of interest is the lack of cars on the road back then, in spite of so many people visiting for a day at the beach!
Weymouth beach and harbour in 1985
In the bottom of the photo the green colour of the Nothe Gardens is striking. There are also a lot more cars around.
Weymouth, showing the beach and harbour, year unknown - do get in touch if you can identify the year!
Radipole Stadium 1979 - The home of greyhound racing and speedway before it became Weymouth Football Club’s Bob Lucas Stadium
