Thanks to Shane Seagrave for getting in touch and sharing this wonderful image from his collection of historic Weymouth photos and postcards.
This picture was taken one summer's day in the 1950s by someone on board a boat train which has stopped on the Commercial Road/King Street junction.
Here, an enterprising Wall's Ice Cream vendor has got off his tricycle and is selling his wares to passengers before the train moves off again. Shane tells us: "These "Stop Me And Buy One" bikes were once a familiar sight being pedalled around our town in the summer months and could often be found on the Esplanade attracting an eager queue of customers.
"The bikes had one insulated box, mounted over the front two wheels, and its contents were kept cold placed on top a massive block of frozen carbon dioxide gas, known as "dry ice"."
