It shows a church and a row of houses.
As a clue there's a very noticeable statue at this location today, which wasn't there when this photo was taken!
Nearby is a public garden that is easily the smallest in town!
If you guessed that this image was taken at St John's Church, Greenhill, Weymouth and St John's Terrace, then well done!
This picture, courtesy of the Terence Gale Collection, was taken around 1880.
There is now a statue of Queen Victoria on the traffic island just outside the church but when this picture was taken it was yet to be erected!
The line of buildings along St John's Terrace have changed little over the years.
