Charabancs were once the 'must-ride' form of transport for a pleasure outing from Weymouth.
This photo looks was taken outside Weymouth Baptist Church on the Esplanade.
The people inside the charabanc are very well dressed for a breezy ride.
Charabancs were seen as a traditional part of a seaside trip and replaced horsedrawn carriages.
On this second postcard one of the charabancs is advertising a trip along the coast from Weymouth to Lyme Regis.
On the car itself we can see ‘Victory Motors Weymouth’ and the people about to set off on their pleasure ride all look very serious.
The charabanc is also parked outside a tobacconists and confectionary shop.
