We have a couple of interesting images to share here thanks to Looking Back reader Eric Cox of Cattistock.

First up Mr Cox has shared with us this picture of two long-gone pubs in Maiden Newton, the Royal George on the left and the White Horse on the right.

"Other pubs in the village now gone were the Acorn, Railway Inn, the Castle and the Kingsley Hotel," he writes.

The second photo Mr Cox has sent us is of Lower Frome Vauchurch, near Maiden Newton, taken about 1900.

He writes: "The house on the left was the Dairy House, and next to it was the house where I was born!"

What a wonderful trip down memory lane to these charming villages. Thank you Mr Cox.
