A special group in Dorchester embarked on a sponsored dance to raise money for a mum in need.

Fizzy Boppers got together and decided they wanted to support Dorchester mum-of-two, Sian Kwan, who has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.

Fizzy Boppers is a high energy dance group for children aged zero to five that runs in Dorchester, Bridport, Maiden Newton and Netherbury and was created by four local mums.

The Fizzy Boppers team, Kelly Critchell, Kim Sibley, Georgie Easton and Sarah Ridout heard about Sian's battle against cancer and decided they wanted to join in with the local crowd funding to raise money to support her with her ongoing treatment.

The symbol of Sian’s crowdfunding is a flamingo so the families attending Fizzy Boppers were asked to collect sponsorships to dance to a brand new flamingo song

A raffle was also held during the week with some fantastic prizes from businesses up for grabs.

Kelly, who helped organise the fundraising event said: "The atmosphere at our groups during that week was absolutely amazing. Everyone fully supported our fundraising and danced their socks off to our new flamingo song. I would personally like to say a huge thank you to all the businesses that donated prizes for our raffle, we all truly appreciate your kindness and generosity."

The final total raised throughout that week by Fizzy Boppers families was an amazing £500 which all went directly to Sian to support her with her treatment.
