JOIN Henry Pulling and his eccentric aunt Augusta as they journey to Brighton, Paris, Istanbul and South America in Graham Greene’s Travels With My Aunt.

Wimborne Drama Productions are performing Giles Havergal’s clever stage adaptation of Graham Greene’s comic novel at the Tivoli Theatre in Wimborne from October 19 to 21.

When retired bank manager Henry Pulling meets his eccentric aunt Augusta at what he supposes to be his mother’s funeral, she persuades him to abandon his dull life tending to his dahlias and to embark on a series of unexpected and hilarious adventures.

Henry encounters Aunt Augusta’s shady associates, pot smoking hippies, war criminals, men from the CIA and art smugglers. To his aunt’s great delight, Henry finds himself coming alive as he puts his former life behind him.

The play is directed by Phyllis Spencer and stars John Sivewright as Henry and Sheila Dove as Aunt Augusta.

Evening performances are at 7.30pm and there is a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets are £12 evenings, £10 Saturday matinee.
