Channel 4 has revealed its Christmas TV schedule for 2021, with the likes of The Great British Bake Off, The Last Leg, 8 Out of 10 Cats and First Dates getting festive specials.

Additionally, an animated programme based on Terry Pratchett’s The Abominable Snow Baby will air at 7.30pm on Christmas Day on the channel.

Julie Walters, Hugh Dancy and David Harewood provide their voices for the programme.

Channel 4’s Head of Drama, Caroline Hollick, said in a statement: “Channel 4’s original Christmas animation has become a real highlight over the years and this year will be no exception.

“I’m delighted Julie Walters, Hugh Dancy and David Harewood will be bringing to life this wonderful, funny and moving yuletide tale."

What festive programmes will be on Channel 4?

Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont will be hosting a Christmas getaway for some of their closest friends, in a one-off seasonal special called Jon & Lucy’s Christmas Sleepover.

The cast of It's A Sin will also be back, but this time in the Great British Bake Off tent as they compete against each other in a number of Christmas-themed baking challenges.

Jamie Oliver will also be there with his Keeping Cooking at Christmas programme, and Sunday Brunch will offer a festive edition of their show as well, meaning viewers should be satisfied for cooking content.

Other festive highlights this December include Big Fat Quiz of the Year, Escape to the Chateau at Christmas with Dick and Angel, and Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas.

Aside from the original programming on the channel there will be a few films airing on Christmas Day, including Home Alone 2, The Snowman and White Christmas.
