Those of us who attended the public inquiry into the Navitus Bay proposal some years ago learned an important fact – the government undertook to ensure that the view of the Jurassic Coast from Poole Bay would remain unencumbered in order to ensure its UNESCO World Heritage status.
I note the move for a wind farm off the coast of BCP (Bring Back Navitus Bay wind farm plan in Dorset: The Echo 23 April 2022).

The fact remains, a wind farm off the coast will risk the status of the Jurassic Coast as a World Heritage site.
In much the same way that Liverpool docks has lost its status as a result of the addition of a number of modern buildings.
