CHAIRMAN of the Inner Wheel Club of Weymouth Patricia Hill made one last act of generosity before stepping down from the role.
At her final dinner as chairman, held at the Hotel Prince Regent, she presented a cheque for £640 to Samaritans of Dorset.
Director David Webb said: “Samaritans of Dorset is delighted with this donation from The Inner Wheel at Weymouth.
“Our service is being used more than ever and that leaves our volunteers even less time to raise money to pay for the increasing overheads of providing a listening ear to callers every day of the year.
