YOUNG bowlers enjoyed a day of excellence at Moonfleet 2000 Indoor Bowls Club in Weymouth.

Juniors, aged eight to 14 and seniors (15-18) from all over the county showed their skill and competitive spirit at the event.

The morning session saw all the players paird up to play singles matches over seven ends.

That all resulted in a semi-final and final round later in the day.

The afternoon session was a skills exercise, where the competitors all had to try their hand at four training activities to determine their skill in delivering bowls and jacks within a set zone.

The winners were: Brandon King – overall senior winner (Moonfleet IBC) and Ryan Nash – overall junior winner (Moon-fleet IBC).

The winning score was close to 80 points out of a possible 96 points.
