INJURIES have left Paul Harding scratching his head ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Corsham in Southern Counties South (2.30pm).

Weymouth have been chopping and changing their line-up every week since the Christmas break and that lack of consistency has certainly had an adverse effect on their results with seven defeats in their last eight games.

Head coach Harding faces the same problem this weekend but continues to concentrate on the positives. He told Echosport: “Tomorrow’s game at Corsham is going to be another tough one. “It is a long trip again and unfortunately we are waiting on injuries.

“We took quite a pounding after the Wimborne game last time out and it has taken its toll.

“Tim Comben, Mike Robinson, Harry Charles and Steve Nation-Grainger are all out injured, there will be no Lewis Allen and Joel Wilson is unavailable, so we really are scratching our heads at the moment.

“Every week has been a bit of a struggle since Christmas in terms of chopping and changing but on the plus side at least this is the last long trip this season.

“All we can do is get tomorrow out of the way and then we face three cup finals to finish against Wimborne and Devizes, who are both up there, and then the derby against Dorchester.”

Commenting further on Corsham, he added: “We have had a couple of good wins against them already this season but going up there is a completely different kettle of fish.

“Home advantage is always huge at this standard and we know it is going to be very difficult.

“However, training is still very good and hopefully we can go up there and put in a big performance.”

Dorchester will have home advantage tomorrow but they will need a lot more than that to get anything out of second-placed Trowbridge (2.30pm).

The Wiltshire outfit have won their last seven in Southern Counties South while Dorchester have lost their last five.

Bridport and Puddletown also face tough tests in Dorset & Wilts One South and Dorset & Wilts Two South respectively.

The Blues face a trip to high-flying North Dorset Seconds while the Villagers’ quest for a top-three finish sees them travel to Frome Seconds (both 2.30pm).

The Somerset outfit were good value for their 22-10 victory at Greenfields in early December and currently occupy second place in the league, but Puddletown’s own run of five wins out of the last six sees them in confident form and just six points behind their opponents. Captain Tom Yeatman expects to have a full-strength squad available.

Dorchester Seconds also host Poole in Dorset & Wilts Two South, while Weymouth Thirds and Bridport Seconds entertain Swanage & Wareham Fourths and Blandford Seconds respectively in Dorset & Wilts Four.

Finally, relegated Swanage & Wareham welcome Cheltenham in South West One East (all 2.30pm).
