FORMER olympic swimmer Mark Foster gave a class to kids at the Dorchester Sports Centre yesterday as part of a national event in aid of Macmillan.
Laura Taylor, duty manager at Dorchester Sports Centre, said: “This was an amazing opportunity for youngsters to come and get advice and tips from someone like Mark, who has achieved so much in his swimming career.
“There has been a real buzz about the place, as he is well known in the swimming community.
“We have had a lot of interest in this event.
“He's a lovely guy and a real inspiration for the kids.”
