DORCHESTER boss Mick Jenkins has confirmed the club are interested in signing Portland United central defender Scott Henley.
Henley, who has made two appearances for the Blues since returning from Greece where he was working as a football coach, will have to prove he is fit enough for the rigours of the Nationwide Conference South before any deal can be done.
Jenkins knows the 24-year-old from his time as Weymouth assistant manager, when Henley was a hot prospect at the Wessex Stadium.
"I just want to have a look at him to see what sort of shape he is in," said Jenkins.
The Magpies' manager is optimistic of adding to his squad in the coming days. He is also looking at two strikers and has invited ex-Havant & Waterlooville midfielder Neil Davis to training next week.
