THE NEW WINDOWMAN 11 AFC BLANDFORD RESERVES 1
NEWLY-REFORMED WindowMan kicked off their Dorset League Division Five campaign in style at Redlands.
Lewis Ironside broke the deadlock on 10 minutes and then the floodgates opened.
Some brilliant football and good finishing from strike partnership Tom Bell and Adam Cardiff meant Window-Man, pictured, were seven goals to the good at half-time.
To their credit, Blandford kept going and did get a goal back from a free-kick early in the second half But goals from Mike Norman, Callum Ross-Jennins and further strikes from Bell and Cardiff meant Window-Man ran out 11-1 winners.
Manager Christoff Ironside said: “Although it was a great result, I was more impressed with the style of football we played and am really looking forward to the season ahead, especially when the lads become fitter and sharper.”
Next up for WindowMan is UFC Poundbury Reserves at Redlands today (3pm).
