BALTI House manager Marco Nott believes tomorrow could be a pivotal day in this season’s Dorset Senior League title race.
The top four sides are all involved in games against each other, with leaders Balti going to fourth-placed Piddletrenthide Spartans and third hosting fourth at Gaunts Common as Holt take on Chickerell (both 2pm).
Balti are in pole position at the moment, three points clear of the Chickens, but they have played more games than the others.
“I think you could see how the league will shape up after this weekend,” said Nott. “We have got Spartans and Chickerell are at Holt.
“Those are two really good fixtures and that game at Holt is huge, but if we lose it won’t mean anything to us.
“And it’s going to be a very difficult game against the Spartans.
“They beat us 4-2 earlier this season and won that game quite comfortably.”
Ross Walker is away for Balti this weekend but Josh Houghton returns and he could be joined in the matchday squad by Lewis Ironside.
“We had to bounce back last Saturday after that heavy defeat to Holt,” added Nott. “We went 1-0 down against Okeford but showed a lot of character to come back.”
