A GROUP of Bridport Barracudas qualified to swim at the Dorset County Championships held at the Littledown Centre over two weekends, and achieved a spectacular 43 personal bests between them over the competition.
Henry Wyrill came away with two gold medals in 50m backstroke and 50m breaststroke.
The Barracuda also finished fourth in 100m backstroke, fifth in 50m freestyle and 200m backstroke, claimed a sixth in 100m freestyle, seventh in 400m freestyle and also finished ninth in 200m freestyle.
He has now qualified to race at the regional competition to be held in Bristol in May.
Meanwhile, Nathan Moorey came away with gold in the 50m butterfly, finished seventh in the 50m freestyle, 11th 200m individual medley and 50m backstroke, and 21st 200m freestyle.
Wyrill and Moorey are swimming again tomorrow in Dorchester, in the last two races for the championship.
Wyrill will go in the 1500m, while Moorey bids for the 800m.
