BRIDPORT manager Trevor Senior has swooped to capture the services of striker Mark Salter from Street.
The experienced hitman confirmed his switch to St Mary’s Field on Saturday.
Salter made a total of 11 appearances for the Somerset-based Cobblers this season before being snapped up by Bridport.
Boss Senior said: “We put in a seven-day approach but they waived that, which then allowed us to talk to him.
“We spoke to him at length and I am pleased to say he has joined us.
“He joined in and did the warm-up on Saturday.
“He is really good mates with Simon Gale from the reserves and we thought he might have been looking to move from Street because he seemed to be left out for no apparent reason.
“He won’t be available for a couple of weeks. We probably won’t see him in a first-team shirt until November.”
