PAVILION SPORTS v PORTLAND RED TRIANGLE

GARY Randell and Jason Styles are both unavailable for tomorrow's trip to Slades Farm in Bournemouth (2pm).

The pair starred in last week's home success over Poole Town Seconds, scoring 205 runs between them in a total of 273.

Styles blasted a fine 139 not out while Randell also remained unbeaten on 66 and their experience at the crease is certainly going to be missed.

Portland skipper Simon Barrett said: "Jason and Gary can play every other week. What it means for tomorrow is that our batting will be a bit weaker and our bowling a bit stronger so it will be interesting to see how it goes."

Middle-order batsman Marco Nott and new-signing Dave Price will plug the gaps.

Red Triangle secretary and player Grant Neven said: "Dave has just moved into the area and is a steady opening bowler and a big hitting middle-order batsman.

"He is a very nice chap and used to play at a good standard in the Warwickshire League."

Pavilion Sports won promotion from Division Three last season so the islanders do not know a lot about them. Neven said: "They are a bit of an unknown quantity. They got promoted last year and we have never played them before but hopefully we can go there and put on a similar performance as last week.

"Not having Gary and Jason is a bit of a loss but we have good strength-in-depth this season and with some good youngsters coming through things are looking very encouraging."
