Coca-Cola League One Play-off final

YEOVIL TOWN v BLACKPOOL

CLUB captain Terry Skiverton is winning his fitness battle and is expected to lead the Glovers out at Wembley tomorrow.

The former Chelsea trainee, who missed the two legs against Nottingham Forest in the semi-finals due to a groin injury, has already lifted three trophies during his time at Yeovil but leading his men out at England's new national stadium would top the lot.

Skiverton joined Town in June 1999 and since then he has made 320 appearances, holding aloft the FA Umbro Trophy in 2002, the Nationwide Conference championship in 2003, and the League Two title in 2005.

If Skiverton does return he is expected to replace Australian Scott Guyett. Nathan Jones will continue to captain the side if the 31-year-old does not make it.

The fitness of influential midfielder Chris Cohen is a little more touch and go. The former West Ham United man has also been recovering from a groin injury, which caused him to leave the field at the City Ground last Friday. Anthony Barry is fit after suffering a minor muscle strain.

Town boss Russell Slade, who suffered defeat in last year's League Two play-off final with Grimsby Town, said: "I will prepare for the final in the same way I have tried to prepare for all our matches this season. We will try to be positive on the day and get the right result."

Overcoming Blackpool will not be an easy task for the Somerset side.

The Tangerines have won their last nine games defeating Oldham Athletic in the semi- finals and champions Scun- thorpe United on April 28.

The last time the two teams met was on March 17 when the Lancashire side won 1-0 at Huish Park, with a goal from Andy Morrell, who has netted 20 times so far this term. The encounter at Bloomfield Road earlier in the season ended 1-1.
