WEYMOUTH Wildcats’ co-promoter James Tresadern wants his team to go to Mildenhall Fen Tigers not “looking to make the numbers up.”
Since their return to the speedway scene as a developmental team, the Wildcats are yet to pick up a win in their opening two races.
However Tresadern wants his quartet of riders to aim for the win when they go racing on Sunday (9pm) against Mildenhall.
He told Echosport: “We want a victory. We are not going to make up the numbers this time.
“After Somerset (where they lost to Exeter) we are going to crank up the heat.”
“We want to keep it close and see what happens. We will not be underestimating them.
“Mildenhall have got a good development team and it will be a close-fought contest.”
The four riders racing for the Wildcats this weekend are Connor Fletcher, Connor Locke, Lee Springthorpe and Niall Strudwick.
