JAY Lelliott secured his second silver medal at the British Summer Championships as he finished behind Cameron Brodie in the 19-and-over 200-metre butterfly in Sheffield.

The Portland swimmer started slowly, as he slotted his way into midfield after 50 metres.

He still had a lot of work to do after 100 metres with four swimmers in front of him, but as they entered the final leg he was starting to come good, trailing Brodie by just 0.76 seconds.

Alas, the Bath University student ran out of pool, finishing just behind the University of Stirling swimmer with a time of 1:58:39 to pick up his second medal in two days having finished the runner-up in the 19-and-over 400m freestyle.

Earlier in the day, Lelliott won his heat to progress to the final with the best time, but was unable to back that up with the win.
