WEYMOUTH 246-6 (25) beat WAYFARERS 117 all-out (4) by 129 runs
HALF centuries by Jim Ryall (69) and Paul Payne (60 not out) helped Weymouth increase their winning streak to four games at Redlands in the Dorset Funeral Plan League Premier Division.
Wayfarers won the toss and elected to field but they were instantly made to regret that decision, as Ryall and home skipper Dean Janaway (40) put on an opening stand of 106.
Payne then came in at number four and hit five fours and two superb sixes to take the game away from the visitors whose reply was weak.
Snook put up some resistance with a fine 41 but only two other visiting batsmen managed to get in double figures as Matt Lawes (3-44), Laurie Whyte (3-20) and Dan Belt (2-14) turned on the style with the leather.
Janaway said: "To be honest we would have probably had a bowl as well had we won the toss so to put on 106 for the first wicket was very pleasing.
"Jim batted superbly. It was his highest score of the season so far and he has been getting better and better over the past few weeks. Paul then came in and held the second half of the innings together and to get to 246 was brilliant.
"We followed that up by being just as good in the field. We held our catches and Jim pulled off a superb leg side stumping. He was absolute lightning and it got their Australian lad out, who was looking good.
"When we originally lost Dan Belt and Ben Lawes I said that everyone was going to have to perform to their best every week and they have been doing that.
"We have now taken maximum points from our last four and we are in good form going into the next two weeks when we will take on the two best sides in the league.
"Next week we will go to Poole full of confidence and the lads are looking forward to it."
Ryall smacked nine boundaries on his way to 69 and he looked in good shape for a century until Stammas came up with a beauty to take off his bales.
Previous to that Janaway holed out to Stevenson and when Tom England went for 17, Weymouth's good start looked like it might slip away but Payne soon put paid to those fears.
The big hitter produced some fantastic strokes to put the visiting attack under pressure and although only Ben Doidge (12) and Andrew Fulton (17 not out) found any form alongside him after England went, it was enough to set a big target.
Stevenson (3-41) and Rayner (2-50) both bowled well for Wayfarers but the extras column read 29 at the end of the innings, which was grim reading for skipper Wilson.
In reply, Weymouth got an early breakthrough with Atkins (0) being trapped leg before by Dave Trotter.
That seemed to stun the visitors and wickets fell regularly throughout the innings with 3-1 soon becoming 75-6.
Ryall stumped Rayner (13) when he threatened to cut loose and Whyte, Fulton, Michael Pearce and Payne all held catches in the field. Ryall also took one behind the stumps.
Dunham (17 not out) did well at number eight and Stammas put on 11 as last man but the innings ended prematurely in the 33rd over.
