WEST Dorset swimmers enjoyed incredible success at the City of Bristol open meet.

Twenty-nine swimmers from the county town took part, entering 25 events.

Lauren McRobbie broke two club records for the under-13 girls in 50m freestyle and 50m backstroke and Dan Kingman broke the club record for the under-13years’ 50m freestyle.

The exceptional achievements continued with five swimmers gaining regional consideration and qualifying times – Dan Kingman, Lauren McRobbie, George Green, Abigail Barnes and Holly Johnson.

There were 74 personal bests (pbs) recorded, as well as many medals won.

There were gold medals for Daniel Kingman in the under-13 100m freestyle and under-13 50m freestyle, George Green in 13-year-olds 200m backstroke, Lauren O’Toole in 15-years-and-over 200m butterfly, 100m freestyle and 50m butterfly, Lauren McRobbie in under-13 50m freestyle, Lauren Osgood in nine-year 50m backstroke and nine-year 100m freestyle, Vivien Taylor in 12- year-olds’ 400m freestyle and Holly Johnson in 11-year-olds’ 50m butterfly.

Silver medal success went to Jessamy Fursman in 10-year-olds’ 400m freestyle, Lauren Osgood in 10-year-olds’ 50m breaststroke, 50m freestyle, 100m backstroke and 50m butterfly, George Green in 13-year-olds’ 100m freestyle and 50m freestyle, Daniel Kingman in 13-year-olds’ 200m backstroke, Lauren McRobbie 13-year-olds’ 100m backstroke, 50m butterfly and 100m freestyle, Abigail Barnes in 13-year-olds’ 100m butterfly, Sam Ray in nine-year-olds’ 50m breaststroke, Anna Charles in 12-year-olds’ 50m freestyle, Lewis Limm in 12-year-olds’ 50m breaststroke, Louis King in 14-year-olds’ 200m backstroke and Holly Johnson in 11-year-olds’ 100m freestyle.

Bronze medals went to George Green in 13-year-olds’ 50m backstroke and 100m butterfly, Louis King in 14-year-olds’ 50m backstroke, Anna Charles in 12-year-olds’ 200m backstroke and 50m butterfly, Sam Ray in nine-year-olds’ 50m freestyle, Lauren McRobbie in 13-year-olds’ 50m breaststroke, Jessamy Fursman in 10-year-olds’ 50m freestyle, Abigail Barnes in 13-year-olds’ 200m backstroke and 200m butterfly, Lewis Limm in 12-year-olds’ 50m butterfly, Daniel Kingman in 13-year-olds’ 50m butterfly and Cameron Bailey in 12-year-olds’ 200m butterfly.
