WEYMOUTH Football Club's commercial director Ken Wilde has described this week's meeting with the Terras Trust, the Weymouth Supporters' Club, and Weymouth Youth as a "positive" step.

He said: "It was the first time that we have all sat down together and a lot of positive things came out of it.

"We discussed things like the interior decorating in the bar and we will be getting working parties together over the next couple of weeks to look at that.

"Another area we spoke about was the youth section which used to be very much out on its own but now we have brought it into the family of the football club.

"It is important that we make sure everyone knows what is going on. And that is why we will be meeting with all the teams and the parents in the middle of July to let them know the benefits.

"Other things we looked at was our plans for carnival day and how we can get more involved in that and we also discussed the idea of having a charity fun run at Christmas.

"We also decided that we are now going to meet once a month. All of us have the same aim and that is to get behind the football club and by having regular meetings it will allow us to try and take things forward as one."

n New polo shirts and shower jackets are now on sale in the club shop.
