WEYMOUTH Terras Under-9s were deservedly crowned league champions at their end of season presentation night at the Wessex Stadium.

New Terras signing, and former Southampton player, Kyle Critchell was introduced to the boys for a question and answer session before presenting them with their trophies.

The young Terras have enjoyed a fantastic campaign and only tasted defeat twice all season, once on their way to the league title, the other in the Cougars tournament against King's Park Dynamoes in a thrilling final which saw the Terras edged out on penalties.

Manager Andy Morgan said: "I would personally like to praise the whole team for their first class attitude, effort, sportsmanship and commitment throughout the season.

"It has been an absolute pleasure to coach such a fantastic bunch of lads and not forgetting the parents and grandparents for their continued support and commitment throughout the season."

The boss also had praise for the team's sponsors. He said: "I would also like to thank our kit sponsors from last season Alfred McAlpine & JF Building Service."
