NEW striker Jefferson Louis has vowed to "repay" Weymouth boss Jason Tindall for bringing him to the Wessex Stadium.

The former Oxford United man, who finished last season with Havant & Waterlooville, is delighted to be at the Blue Square Premier outfit and he is looking forward to helping the club gain success in the forthcoming campaign.

He said: "I really want to kick on and have a good season, and repay the manager for the faith he has shown in me in terms of getting me down here."

"Training has been great and there has already been a lot of friendly banter going around.

"There are some very good players here and I am sure we are going to enjoy a good season."

When asked how his move to the Terras came about, Louis added: "The manager came and watched me last season when I was at Havant but he also knew what I could do from my time at Oxford.

"I have a few mates down this part of the country and as soon as I found out that he was interested in bringing me to Weymouth I was delighted.

"The manager at Havant wanted me to stay but my mind was made up."

Louis is planning to move down to Dorset and is adamant re-locating will have a positive impact on his career.

He said: "I am going to move to Bournemouth and I am happy I am here because it will allow me to focus everything on my football.

"My partner lives in London which is going to be hard but she understands what my career means to me and we will make it work."
