DORCHESTER Sports manager Ashley James is looking for his side to react to their disappointing cup defeat when they face an away trip to Blandford United in the Dorset Premier League on Saturday (2pm).

A weakened Sports side were beaten 2-1 by Dorset Senior League side Westland Sports Reserves in the quarter-final of the Dorset Senior Trophy on Saturday despite taking the lead through a Dan Peart free-kick.

James said: "We have got to react.

"It is going to be the same squad that we take to Blandford so we have got to pick ourselves up because if we play like we did on Saturday against Blandford then we are going to get turned over again.

In the cup defeat Sports were without eight players only one of which will be back for the Blandford match as Jason Read has served a one match suspension.

Blandford are without a league win at home all season while Sports have three wins in their last five away games but have lost their last two matches in all competitions.

"It is going to be another difficult away game for us but the lads have got to pick their heads up now and try and pick up a positive league result and get us started again because we have lost two in a row now.

"After winning six in a row we have got to dig deep now as a group and try and pick up three points on Saturday."
